Race Retro acquired by Clarion Events Ltd.
Clarion Events Ltd is excited to announce that it has taken ownership of Race Retro, the international historic motorsport show, with planning already underway for the next event, which is to be held at Stoneleigh Park from 24th to 26th February 2017.
Race Retro joins Clarion’s motoring portfolio, which already includes the UK’s biggest indoor classic car event The Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, the Practical Classics Classic Car and Restoration Show and the newly launched National Car Club Awards in association with Tourism Ireland.
Daniel Nwaokolo, Event director for Clarion Events, said: “Race Retro is a fantastic event and comes to us as a well-established, well supported show. However, we look forward to building on the excellent foundations in place to further grow and develop the show using the vast experience of the Clarion team and the opportunities in the rapidly growing historic motorsport scene.
“The show will remain at Stoneleigh Park for as long as the historic motorsport industry wants it to be there and it will be a standalone event, as there is huge potential to showcase many motorsport disciplines that reflect the breadth of the market.
“One of the key elements of Race Retro has always been that it works with the motorsport industry, with many using the three-day event as a networking opportunity for business during the coming season. That will not change, it will only be enhanced to introduce more businesses into the fold on both a UK and international level.
“We look forward to sharing our exciting plans for developing the content within the show and listening to the motorsport market to ensure that the growth of Race Retro is inline with their own development plans.”
Race Retro 2017 will take place at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, on Friday 24th to Sunday 26th February. Further announcements will be made later in the year. For more information, visit www.raceretro.com.
