Some of Paul Tarsey’s earliest memories are a house full of aunts and cousins coming to stay each June whilst ’the men’ of the family went off to Le Mans every year! In those long lost pre-PC days Paul’s racing memories were formed.

But it was a birthday trip to Oulton Park in 1958 which set the ball rolling. Tony Brooks and Peter Collins demonstrated the pre-war Mercedes Silver Arrows at the VSCC meeting and everything changed for the young lad in short trousers standing trackside. “If you had told me then that one day I would number Tony Brooks as a friend, I would never have believed you, but that’s how it turned out”.
