Tony Southgate
BRM car designer
Tony Southgate designed some of the most beautiful (and successful) racing cars in the business, not least of which the Yardley BRM 153 and its successor the P160 - both cars starting a BRM resurgence in the early ‘70s largely thanks to Tony’s talents. Post BRM, Tony designed many successful cars, including Jaguar's Le Mans-winning XJR-9, and cars for almost every type of circuit racing. He was also responsible for the chassis design of Ford's RS200 Group B rally car.
